Making A Difference Across Duluth East High School

The Duluth East High School Foundation focuses on four key areas where we can make the greatest difference for current and future Greyhounds. Rather than providing individual scholarships, we invest in programs, equipment, facilities and activities that benefit the entire East High School community.

Academic Support

How We Help

We provide funding for classroom technologies, specialized equipment and innovative programs that enhance the educational experience beyond what district funding can provide.

Recent Impacts

Funded new laboratory and testing equipment for science courses
Provided classroom sets of graphic calculators for mathematics instruction
Provided learning kits for students
Funded various material, tool and equipment updates for the art department

Student Activities & Programs

How We Help

We support clubs, organizations and extracurricular programs that develop leadership skills, foster community, and provide enriching experiences outside the classroom.

Recent Impacts

Provided funding for the theater department’s audio equipment upgrade
Enabled the robotics club to purchase materials for summer workshops
Funded purchase of musical instruments to provide additional learning opportunities
Funding for All Night Grad Party including scholarships, activities and security for the event.

Athletic Enhancements

How We Help

We invest in athletic facilities, equipment, and resources that help student-athletes perform at their best while learning valuable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

"The specialized microscopes funded by the Foundation transformed our AP Biology course. Students now conduct college-level research projects that wouldn't be possible without this equipment. Last year, three students were selected to present their findings at the state science competition - a first for East High School.”
